THE MYSTERIES OF PRAISE
Praises can be:
i. songs of praises
ii. words of praises
iii. Bible passages of praises
SOME TRUTHS ABOUT PRAISES:
1. The 4 creatures around God's throne are releasing words of praises without resting. Rev 4:8; 7:11;
2. About 100 trillion angels are appointed as singers in heaven. Rev 5:11
3. When we get to heavens, we too shall be giving words of praises. Rev 7:9-10
4. At the beginning of the Old Testament, Prayer Teams were not formed but Praise Teams. I Chro 23:27-31. David and Hezekiah appointed praise-singers among the Levites.
5. Angels came down from heaven to come and sing on earth on the day Jesus was born.
Lu 2:13- And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying,...
6. Jesus sang with His disciples on the night of the eve of his death. Mat 26:30;
7. The Bible admonishes us to prophesy to our lives with songs of praises. Eph 5:19
There is something hidden and mysterious we have not grasp about praises.
7 Mysterious Things that Happen During Praises
1. Praises bring down a Blanket of Glory. (Spirit)
2 Chr 5:13- 12 and the Levites who were the singers, all those of Asaph and Heman and Jeduthun, with their sons and their brethren, stood at the east end of the altar, clothed in white linen, having cymbals, stringed instruments and harps, and with them one hundred and twenty priests sounding with trumpets
13 indeed it came to pass, when the trumpeters and singers were as one, to make one sound to be heard in praising and thanking the LORD, and when they lifted up their voice with the trumpets and cymbals and instruments of music, and praised the LORD, saying: "For He is good, For His mercy endures forever," that the house, the house of the LORD, was filled with a cloud
14 so that the priests could not continue ministering because of the cloud; for the glory of the LORD filled the house of God.
2. Praises open the heavens for God's glory to descend - it removes covering cast
2 Ch 5:13 It came even to pass, as the trumpeters and singers were as one, to make one sound to be heard in praising and thanking the LORD; and when they lifted up their voice with the trumpets and cymbals and instruments of musick, and praised the LORD, saying, For he is good; for his mercy endureth for ever: that then the house was filled with a cloud, even the house of the LORD;
3. Praises open the earth and provoke increases - it soften a ground of iron.
Ps 67:5-7 5Let the peoples praise You, O God; Let all the peoples praise You. 6 Then the earth shall yield her increase; God, our own God, shall bless us.7 God shall bless us, And all the ends of the earth shall fear Him.
4. Praises Cripple the Adversaries.
Psa 149:6-8
5. Praises is privilege to win without a weapon and to have victory without fighting. Psa 149:9
6. Praises is a deadly winning weapon - a weapon of confusion.
2Ch 20:22 - ...No one had escaped. 22 Now when they began to sing and to praise, the LORD set ambushes against the people of Ammon, Moab, and Mount Seir, who had come against Judah; and they were defeated.
23 For the people of Ammon and Moab stood up against the inhabitants of Mount Seir to utterly kill and destroy them. And when they had made an end of the inhabitants of Seir, they helped to destroy one another.
24 So when Judah came to a place overlooking the wilderness, they looked toward the multitude; and there were their dead bodies, fallen on the earth. No one had escaped.
7. Praise Destroys Bondages from Foundations.

Some Suggested Ways to Praise the Lord:
1. Sing or say words of praises with your mouth.
2. Buy CD or cassettes of songs, and sing along.
3. At least once a week, be alone and render praises to God, either singing or saying words of praises with your mouth or by singing along with CDs or cassettes of songs, not allowing distractions.
How Often Do we Sing or Say Words of Praises to God?
Ps 119:164
Seven times a day I praise You, Because of Your righteous judgments.
Heb 13:15
Therefore by Him let us continually offer the sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of our lips, giving thanks to His name.
Ps 104:33
- I will sing unto the LORD as long as I live: I will sing praise to my God while I have my being.
When Do we Render Praises to Him?
1, When an answer is been delayed.
Ps 71:14
- But I will hope continually, and will yet praise thee more and more.
2. When we are happy. I Sam 2:1-10
3. After a victory. Isa 41:16; 61:10; Ex 15:21; Jg 5: 1-31;
3. When been overwhelmed with joy.
4. When been overwhelmed with confusion or grief. This is when praises become a sacrifice. Psa 116:17-18; Job 13:15
5. When it seems the adversaries are winning.
6. When there all hope is lost. Hab 3:17
